Skill: Kick is a Skill in ELDEN RING (2022).

Push an enemy back with a high kick. Effective against enemies who are guarding, and can break a foe's stance. Sometimes a simple tool is the most effective.

Effect Effect

The user steps forward and executes a simple front kick with their right foot that deals an absurd amount of Stamina Stamina damage against guarded enemies, as well as dealing Attack Power Strike 30 base Strike Attack Power and pushing back opponents.

Grants some Hyper Armor during use.

Frame data

The kick comes out on frame 18/after 0.60 seconds. The skill takes 32 frames/1.07 seconds to complete.

Grants Hyper Armor from frame 11/0.37 seconds in until frame 27/0.90 seconds in.

  • Costs Stamina 16 points of Stamina.
  • The kick deals Stamina 999 points of Stamina damage against guarded enemies.
    • In PvP, the kick deals Stamina 1248.75 points of Stamina damage against guarded players.
  • The kick deals 6 points of Stance damage.
    • In PvP, the kick deals Poise 60 points of Poise damage.
  • The kick deals 0% of the weapon's Status Effect build-up.
  • The kick has a Damage Level value of 5 (Push and Long Stagger).
  • The Attack Power Physical Physical Damage Type dealt is Attack Power Strike Strike.
  • Categorized as a Kicking / Stomping Skill
  • Unusually, the kick does not seem to scale with anything except Weapon Upgrade Level

Boosting

Strategies

  • It's not really worth trying to make this skill deal damage, as even when used on a weapon with a Heavy affinity for increased scaling and Strength! 80 Strength will have at most 200 base Attack Power or so, and this is before enemy flat defenses are applied and reduce the damage even further.
  • Despite its simple-looking animation, it is devastating at the sole purpose it was designed for, practically breaking the guard of almost every enemy, even particularly sturdy enemies such as Crucible Knights and Cleanrot Knights.
    • Somewhat more limited effectiveness against player Greatshields as the short reach makes it harder to use.
  • This skill's effect can mostly be replicated by either simply attacking with the Hammer Talisman equipped, which is simpler than equipping this skill on a weapon or leaving the right-hand and left-hand skill slots empty and can have a fair bit more range, but takes up a Talisman slot and isn't a guaranteed guard break.

Increased poise damage and stamina attack power against guarding enemies. The Stance damage of the kick was reworked, changing it from dealing 100% of the weapon's base Stance damage, to dealing 6 points of Stance damage. The Stamina damage of the kick was drastically increased from Stamina 350 points of Stamina damage to Stamina 999 points of Stamina damage.
