Strategy Guide Description
| Elden Ring Official Strategy Guide Vol 2 - Shards of the Shattering
|
| These oversized vermin are found in a variety of habitats throughout the Lands Between, with each
subspecies uniquely adapted for the environment in
which it lives. All enemies in this category use two
basic attacks a forward tackle and a short range
projectile. The nature of the projectile, as well as the
slugs defensive values and resistances, varies by
type, the subspecies native to the central lowlands
of the Altus Plateau launches a cluster of worms
which deal non-elemental damage and temporarily
increase your Equip Load, while other types can
breathe fire or spit globs of magma. Slugs receive
increased damage from all sources, especially
Slashing damage and Lightning, however, while
they're generally susceptible to common status
ailments, certain types or individuals may be immune
to Poison or Blood Loss depending upon where they
are encountered, and those found in hot regions or
near sources of fame are completely immune to Fire
Breaking their Stance will temporarily stun them, but
they cannot be struck with Citical Hits: in general, it
is easiest simply to throw Lightning Pots at them, or
dispatch them with ranged Skills.
