Small Shields

Small Shields are a type of shield in ELDEN RING ⁽²⁰²²⁾.

Despite being shields, they are rather unsuited for blocking in all but emergency situations. Instead, their light weight combined with being infusable and sometimes providing bonuses to Status Effect resistances can make them good tools to have in the off-hand.

Small shields on average also have the most parrying frames of all the shields and have the least amount of recovery frames after performing said action, the Buckler in particular being the best shield for parrying due to having a 5 frame active parry window and 12 frames of recovery.
