The ancient dragons, who ruled in the prehistoric era before the Erdtree, would protect their lord as a wall of living rock.
And so it is that the shape of the dragon has become symbolic of all manner of protections.

Acquisition

Loot: Hidden Path to the Haligtree

Obtained from a corpse in the Hidden Path to the Haligtree. From the large circular platform in the large central room, drop straight down from the broken railing to land on an invisible platform. Walk directly north, and then turn directly west, when aligned with an enemy that can be seen in the distance, standing on the invisible platform. At the end of the invisible platform, jump down to the ledge below, on the left, and through one of the open windows. Proceed south to the room with the boss door, and turn right to reach an elevator. The corpse lies in an alcove at the top of this elevator.

Effect

Boosts Magic Damage Negation by +20% (+6% in PvP).
