Stars of Ruin is a sorcery spell in ELDEN RING (2022). It is one of the primeval current sorceries.

Description Description

Legendary sorcery devised by Lusat, primeval sorcerers.

Fires twelve dark shooting stars that pursue the target. This sorcery can be cast while in motion. Charging increases potency.

When Lusat glimpsed into the primeval current, he beheld the final moments of a great star cluster, and upon seeing it, he too was broken.

Effect Effect

The caster fires a volley of 12 high-speed magic projectiles that wait a brief moment before traveling outward, homing in enemies. Each of the projectiles fire in quick succession. Each projectile also slightly decrease in attack power, but they do have good tracking.

  • Costs FP 32 FP per cast
  • Costs Stamina 29 Stamina per cast.
    • When charged, costs Stamina 36 Stamina per cast.
  • Requires 3 Memory Slots to equip.
  • Despite firing off 12 projectiles, this spell has at least 8 instances of Magic Damage, dealing 52%, 52%, 49%, 49%, 45%, 45%, 43%, and 43% of Sorcery Scaling respectively.
    • When charged, these instances of Magic Damage are increased to 65%, 65%, 60%, 60%, 57%, 57%, 54%, and 54% of Sorcery Scaling respectively.
  • Stars of Ruin can be cast repeatedly.
  • Stars of Ruin can be cast while walking.
  • Stars of Ruin has good tracking.
  • Can be cast while riding Torrent.
    • Torrent will slow down when casting Stars of Ruin.

Boosting

Strategies

  • Even after its tracking was nerfed in Patch 1.06, it's still potent at hitting targets that run or dodge such as PvP opponents or nimble enemies that dodge frequently
  • Casting time is reduced by Dexterity, up to a maximum of 70 Dexterity.
  • Most bosses and enemies will dodge when the spell is initially cast, not when the beam is released.
