Walkthrough

Preparations

All opponents in here are immune to all Status Effects and resistant to all damage types except for Strike (though the Imps are also somewhat weak to Standard and Magic damage).

All enemies in this dungeon deal Physical damage so stuff to resist it, such as a solid shield, will help. Protection against Fire damage from things like Fireproof Dried Liver or Flame Fortification will also help deal with the flames from the pillars found throughout the dungeon, and against the boss.

Either a ranged weapon like the Longbow bought from the Twin Maiden Husks or the Shortbow bought from the Nomadic Merchant outside of Coastal Cave will help deal with the fire-spitting pillars found throughout the dungeon and can thin out some ambushes. Margit's Shackle, bought from Patches in Murkwater Cave, will also lower these pillars whenever used.

From Grace to Lever

Straight ahead is a small side room containing a body that holds 2 Root Resin and 2 Imps. The first Imp is simply sitting immobile on the other side of the item-holding corpse, while the other one lies in ambush to the left of the entrance.

Back out to the main corridor, heading right leads to the (currently closed) entrance to the boss fight and a Grave Glovewort 1 near a coffin. Through the open doorway to the left leads to a seemingly empty room, with another Grave Glovewort 1 in the open and a Grave Violet to the left. However, there are actually another 2 Imps, where one will fall down from above and another will continue flinging daggers at any intruders. Above the lever that opens the door to the boss when pulled can also be seen, though it isn't reachable at the moment.

The tight corridor leading forwards leads to another, even smaller room, with another Imp hanging on the wall to the right. It will fall down if you walk near the path to the room after this one or if anyone walks close to it, attempting a plunging attack if the latter happens. Periodically blocking said path to the next room is a stream of fire. It's possible to get through safely here by running as long as one is quick and mind the next fire stream that makes the "safe spot" to the right not so safe, but using a ranged attack from a Bow, Crossbow, or Bone Dart is far safer. Behind this fire-spitting pillar lies the Prattling Pate "Hello".

Taking the side path in the corridor with the fire-spitting pillar leads directly to another fire-spitting pillar. In the back of the room with the pillar 5 Imps can be found, 2 of which sit in either far corner of the room while the other 3 hang on the far wall (one on the far left corner of it). After these are dealt with, the 3 Smoldering Butterflies can be grabbed from the corpse near the imps and so can the nearby Ghost Glovewort 1.

Atop the ladder found halfway to the second fire-spitting pillar is another room with 2 Imps, one directly to the left of the ladder and another on the other side of the room. A third Grave Glovewort 1 can also be found here.

While the lever can be reached by dropping down on the left from here, there is another room straight ahead with 2 Imps, 1 throwing daggers to bait in opponents and a second lying in ambush to the right of the door. Inside of the room is the fourth Grave Glovewort 1 and the Wandering Noble Ashes.

Finally, dropping down in the far left corner in the room atop the ladder (to the far right of the Lever, lest you fall down to the ground floor instead, or just to the right if exiting the room with the Wandering Noble Ashes). Here is another 2 Imps (only 1 if the dagger-throwing Imp from near the beginning was killed or has fallen down another floor), the dagger-thrower on the landing platform and another posing as a statue on the far side of this mini-floor. In the middle of this floor is the Lever that has to be pulled to unlock the boss fight, and another Grave Glovewort 1.

Boss fight

HP HP pool: 1,200
RunesRunes dropped: 1,300
Stance: 80
Immune VS: All Status Effects Strong VS: Standard, Slash, Pierce, Magic, Fire, Lightning, Holy
Weak VS: Strike

This boss, a one-headed Erdtree Burial Watchdog, has some rather janky movements, which can make its attacks pretty difficult to predict and dodge. Always be prepared for it to turn a few more degrees towards you when it attacks.

On top of this, while its health is slightly substandard it's also resistant to all damage types besides Strike and is therefore actually fairly durable. If you are close when it stands up to smash down with its sword, it's possible to get a running start around it and then keep circling around the boss while occasionally poking it with light attacks until it decides to stop and sit down. A similar attack opportunity is available if it starts its fire breath at close range.
