ER Custom Icon Description.png Description

Silver sword carried by clerics of St. Trina. Inflicts sleep ailment upon foes.

St. Trina is an enigmatic figure. Some say she is a comely young girl, others are sure he is a boy. The only certainty is that their appearance was as sudden as their disappearance.

Notes Notes

  • The skill, Mists of Slumber, is notable for being a strong tool for inflicting Sleep, both from the mist's 156 Sleep build-up per second and from the Weapon Buff it grants for 30 seconds, giving the sword another 70 Sleep build-up on top of its innate 66 Sleep build-up, 136 Sleep build-up total.
    • In combination with the innate Sleep build-up, a buffed Sword of St. Trina can make the notoriously strong-but-sleep-vulnerable Godskin Noble fall asleep in two hits. This is quite valuable since it is a very easily accessible and reusable tool for inflicting Sleep.
  • Gains the most Attack Power from a hybrid Strength/Dexterity build or a pure Dexterity build, while the Intelligence-scaling is largely useless due to being the weakest scaling (maxing out at 36% versus Strength's 50% and Dexterity's 72%) and scaling the much, much weaker Magic damage.
    • For comparison (unmentioned stats are at the minimum required level): 45 Strength and 45 Dexterity grants 542 AP, 80 Dexterity grants 533 AP, and 45 Dexterity and 45 Intelligence grants 490 AP.
    • While it can technically match the strongest Keen Straight Swords (Longsword and Broadsword) in terms of pure Attack Power, the fact that a considerable part of that is Magic damage (about 20% on a pure Dexterity build) hampers the damage a bit.
  • The Prisoner origin can wield the Sword of St. Trina immediately without having the level up any stats.

Trivia

  • The inwards-curled and flowery hilt, resembling two Trina's Lily, gives it a striking resemblance to a sword that is generally considered to be the sword Tizón (alt. Tizona), owned by the legendary spanish folk hero, knight, and ruler Rodrigo Días de Vivar aka El Cid.
  • Patch 1.06 fixed a bug where the effect added to the weapon upon using “Mists of Slumber” was lost when the player receive (sic) an attack.
  • Patch 1.04 increased cast speed.
