Triple Rings of Light is an incantation spell in Elden Ring. It is one of the Golden Order Incantations.

Description

One of the incantations of the Golden Order fundamentalists.

Produces three rings of light and fires them forwards. The rings of light return to a position close to the caster before disappearing. This incantation can be cast repeatedly.

A gift from the young Miquella to his father, Radagon.

Acquisition

Loot: Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree

  • Found in a treasure chest in a room locked by an Imp Statue located at the lower level near the Prayer Room Site of Grace.

Effect

Throws out 3 wide rings of light in a 90-degree arc that has Holy Attack Power equal to 155% of Incantation Scaling and pierces through enemies, stopping upon hitting an object. They still cause damage when stopped and return to the caster 2 seconds after stopping, having the same amount of Attack Power on the returning hit.

Notes

  • Costs 28 points of Stamina to cast.
  • Deals 3 Stance damage per hit, for up to 9 Stance damage if all hits land.
  • Attack Power is boosted by 10% per Golden Order Seal held in an active hand (2 max) and by 15% per Dryleaf Seal held in an active hand (2 max).
    • Since it's possible to acquire both of these Seals in one Playthrough, it's one of a few spells able to stack Seal boosts (for a total boost of 27% in this case).
  • Wearing the Radiant Gold Mask increases Attack Power by 10%.
  • Effectively has Attack Power equal to 310% of Incantation Scaling per ring since it will very often hit the main target on the way back.
    • Can potentially hit with Attack Power equal to 465% of Incantation Scaling if the target is also standing at the incantation's maximum range or at a hit object (or hit ground).
    • Note that the rings share hit registration, meaning an enemy can only be hit up to 3 times: once when the ring is thrown out, a second time when it's stopped, and a third possible hit when the rings return.
  • Several rings can be out at the same time, making the spell very spammable.
    • If casting the spell sequentially, the first set of rings will start to return as the second set is being thrown out.
  • Pairs decently well with the Erdtree Greatshield's skill Golden Retaliation and the Ash of War: Carian Retaliation since the timing of the returning ring is very predictable and will trigger the spell-parry-into-projectile part of those skills.
  • The caster takes a short step forwards each time the spell is cast. While many steep falls prevent a character from stepping over them from movement caused by Skills, Spells, and Weapons, it's still good to be a bit careful.
  • Though it goes through all enemies, it will not ignore the damage reduction from an enemy that is keeping its guard up if they are guarding in the direction it's flying from.
    • Note that it will still fly through said guarding enemy and will hit their unprotected back when returning unless said enemy turns around in between the two hits.
