Troll's Golden Sword is a melee armament in ELDEN RING ⁽²⁰²²⁾.

Description

Sword given to the giants who fought for the Erdtree during the War against the Giants long ago.

Though the giants have lost their minds, they stay inseparable from their swords that are in sad shape—such that the gold plating had flaked away.

Acquisition

Loot: Altus Plateau

• Found in a chest in the back of a Carriage in a Leyndell Soldier camp in-between the Erdtree-Gazing Hill and Altus Highway Junction Sites of Graces.

Notes

• Essentially a slightly weaker and lighter version of the Watchdog's Greatsword that is also acquirable much earlier.
  • It's also the earliest Colossal Swords with non-unique heavy attacks.
• This is the only infusable weapon with the Skill: Troll's Roar innately, making it a decent earlier weapon before getting the Ash of War for the skill in the Mountaintops of the Giants.
  • However, as the Troll Knight's Sword, the arguably strongest carrier of the skill (much stronger if the Golden Sword isn't infused with Heavy Affinity), is available even earlier than that this is a dubious advantage.
• Mediocre length.
• Leans towards Strength for Cold and Blood/Poison affinities.

Trivia

• This is one of the weapons where the Affinity prefix gets placed in the middle of the weapon name (between "Troll's Golden" and "Greatsword" in this case) instead of at the front.
