Enemy Camp and Finding Boc

Let's go back to the Gatefront Ruins, where the enemy camp is.

When you are done dealing with this camp, go to the next Grace to the East, and then keep following the path to the east. When walking nearby you will hear a voice calling you. Go towards the voice: it come from one of the bushes. Roll into the bush in the picture and it will reveal Boc. Talk to him to start his questline.

This unassuming tree is Boc in disguise.
Roll into this tree or hit it with an attack to reveal Boc.

As you might have noticed, most questlines in this game start by just talking to people until they start repeating themselves. You will eventually find these characters again later, so you just leave Boc once you finish his conversation.

Notice: In this area you can go to the north to find a small mercenary camp and loot it. The bridge on the east has a boss that only appears at night, you can try your mettle against it or leave it for later (I recommend it for later).

Sellen

Our aim now will be to find another character hidden nearby. Feel free to deal with the enemies on the way however you like (you can kill them or ignore them).

Go east until you find some ruins to your left. Go inside the ruins.

Follow the Red Path in this picture. After you have spoken with Sellen, take the Blue Path.
Take the dirt road that goes into the Ruins.
In this part of the ruins, there are stairs going down. Sellen (guarded by a boss) is down there.

Next to the murderous plants is a place with steps going downstairs to a fog wall. After the fog wall, you will find a boss (Inside you will be able to summon, so have the wolves you just receive ready) as they will be able to win the next fight for you.

After you defeat the Mad Pumpkin boss, there will be a door that leads to a cave and a new character: Sellen. You can get to know her a little. She also sells sorceries if you are into that. Exhaust her dialogue until she starts repeating herself.

Note for new players:
In order to use spells you need a catalyst. For incantations this is a seal, but for sorceries this is a staff. All weapons and spells also have a minimum level in certain attributes required to use them. While in the store (or in your inventory) you can select a weapon or spell and press "Show more" (X on xbox, F on PC, square on playstation) to see the required stats.

Kenneth Haight & The Wondrous Physick

It's time for another detour, this time it's very important, though. You will meet another character, and later find another important Item.

Take the Blue Path in the picture.

From Sellen's place, we need to take the path that leads North-east. Travel down the road until you hear someone screaming for help. That is Kenneth Haight and he is on top of some ruins asking for help. He tells you that his fort has been taken and he wants it back! We will help him in due time. But, for now, just follow the dirt road until you find a church in ruins called the Third Church of Marika. It's a short trip that you can just rush with Torrent.

Just in the middle of this trip, you will find Kenneth. After speaking to him, just follow the dirt road until you find a church.
There is a Site of Grace next to the road, right before Kenneth. It's easy to miss if you don't pay attention.

Inside the church you will find the Flask of Wondrous Physick, a potion with only one charge that refills every time you visit a Grace. Let's go for the next map fragment and a component to make this potion stronger.

Follow the Map Fragment Icon.png symbol in the map until you find the map fragment. Once revealed, go to the giant tree on the map and look around it. You will eventually find two Crystal Tears. You can use them at a Grace to alter the effects of the Wonderous Physick.

Optional:
You might also stumble upon an interesting structure. If you go inside, you will find an elevator that goes to the underworld. Enjoy the view, find the first grace and return. This place is intended for when you are a higher level and you will eventually come back here for another sidequest.

Blaidd & Fort Haigth

Next, lets find Blaidd, our next character. Continue south on the road (to the location shown on the map) until you hear a howl.

After the church, Go South and follow the road. At the end of the road is Kenneth's castle.

When you hear the howl you will see a wolf howling on top of the ruins that are next to the road. He will ignore us, though. Ignore him too for now, we will come back later.

Fort Haigth

Continue down the road until you find another Site of Grace. If you continue even further down the road, you will find a Castle being sieged by demi-humans. If you go inside, there's an army defending the castle.

Note:
You can ignore all the enemies of the fort and try to go directly for the leader on the top. If you dont feel like doing this mission now, you can return way later when you feel better prepared, theres is no time limit for this mission.

Also note that, in front of the entrance of the fort, there is a small glowing tree. This small tree has a Golden Seed you can pick up, a valuable item that increases the amount of Flask of Crimson Tears that you can use.

On the top level of the fort there is a Bloodcrazed Knight and it is the one that has taken control of the Fort. The knight is recognizable for being on top of the fort and having a big sword that will glow red during certain attacks. We can only help Kenneth if you kill him.

After killing the Knight, go all the way back to where you found Kenneth the first time and tell him his fort is liberated. The next time you go to the fort, Kenneth will be on the top level, in the same place that you found the Bloodcrazed Knight initially.

Blaidd

Now, about the howling wolf in the woods.

Who would know more about this? Kalé, the merchant, of course. He is well traveled after all. Teleport back to the Church of Elleh (by going to your map and selecting that Grace) and speak with Kalé. A new option saying "About the howl" will appear. Talk to him and he will tell you about Blaidd and how to get him down. You should receive a new gesture, Finger Snap.

Now we have to travel back to where we heard the howls and use the gesture.

Access the gestures in this section of the pause screen, and equip the gesture Kalé just gave you.
You can simple use the "Test Now" function (explained on the bottom left of the picture). Try to use it in front of Blaidd, as shown in the picture, so that you can see where he lands.

After using the gesture. Blaidd will come down and become quite talkative. Speak with him until he asks you for help against someone called Darriwil.

After you finish talking with him you can go find this Darriwil. He is located south of Sellen's place, up on a hill reached by taking the west/right path when the road splits (the other path leads to the Weeping Peninsula, but that will be covered after this). He is inside the blue circle shown in this map. Interact with the circle (which is actually a jail/gaol) and you will go inside. While inside, look for Blaidds's summon sign and interact with it. He will appear after a few moments and you both will fight against Darriwil.

To find Darriwil, follow the Blue Path in this picture. when you are done with him, take the green one.
To summon Blaidd for this fight, first enter the Gaol (by interacting with the blue circle on the ground). Once inside, click the golden sign on the ground (pictured).

Once you have defeated Darriwil, you will receive a pretty good weapon and Blaidd will be waiting for you out of the gaol to speak once more and gift you a Somber Smithing Stone 2. After this, you will find him way later in the game, so bid farewell to him for now.
