Whipping Hut
The Whipping Hut is a location on the Scadu Altus in the Realm of Shadow.
Overview
A burnt, ruined shack in the outskirts of Bonny Village. Not much remains besides the frames and part of the wall. It is located on a mesa carved by the Recluses' River, separated from both the village and the rest of the plateau by rope bridges.
In the Whipping Hut, the Hornsent of Bonny Village flagellated shamans with tooth-bestrewn whips. The wounds from these lashings grew inflamed and oozed pus.[1] As indicated by the Stranded Soul at the hut, the shamans would also be stuffed into jars to achieve "nigh-sainthood". It was the belief of the Stranded Soul that this was the sole purpose of the shamans' existence and the only reason for which they were accorded life.[2]
